Using Mushroom Hunt
Mushroom Hunt is a personal foraging companion and reference tool for iOS, Android, and web. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country to create an account.
Safety disclaimer - not identification or edibility advice
The app does not identify mushrooms and does not guarantee that any mushroom is safe to eat. All signals in the app - habitat likelihood, heatmaps, fruiting timing, and the species encyclopedia - are reference aids only. They help you learn patterns and narrow possibilities; they are not a substitute for expert in-person identification.
Many toxic and deadly mushrooms closely resemble edible species. Never eat a wild mushroom unless a qualified expert has confirmed the identification in person. You forage entirely at your own risk. Mushroom Hunt, its operators, and its data providers accept no liability for any harm arising from foraging decisions informed by the app.

Your content
You keep ownership of the spots, photos, journal entries, and posts you create. By contributing content to the community you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display that content within the app and associated services. You are responsible for everything you post; do not post content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or owned by someone else without permission.
Plans and subscriptions
Mushroom Hunt offers two user-facing plans:
- Free - save one spot with up to three photos per spot. No payment required.
- Pro - unlimited spots and photos, plus all current and future Pro features. €9.99/month or €19.99/year, billed as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You must manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings - we cannot cancel it on your behalf. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to circumvent its security, scrape data at scale, or harass other users. Treat the community with respect. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our community guidelines.
Data and privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our privacy policy. Spot and journal data you mark private is not shared with other users.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or via Profile → Account → Delete account in the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your private data from our systems.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mushroom Hunt and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
